In case anyone missed the "What's Next For Hobby League" thread that l.o.shadows started on VsRealms a few days back, I'd like to highlight some posts from UDE's Miranda, who gave us some insight into the future of the game's organized events:
"The rotation you can probably expect for VS will be Release Celebration, Beatdown event (which will vary - Random Punks is a type of Beatdown event) and City Championship, with an Elite Series every so often. Information for the Marvel Legends Beatdown event will be up in September!
Due to the short time between World's Finest and Marvel Legends there will only be Two events for World's Finest, Release Celebration and City Championships. Marvel Legends will begin again with the 3 month block: Release Celebration month 1, Beatdown month 2, and City Championships month 3. So, City Championships will wrap up the Hobby League cycle for the product."
She then went on to confirm that the next City Championship format will indeed be Silver Age. WooHoo! And in a different thread, she said the City Championships would be held between Aug. 8-31 and that the new CC website should be open soon. Double WooHoo!
Once again, Miranda has supplied us with valuable Vs. info, and for that I say "Thanks Miranda - you rock!".
UPDATE: No sooner did I write the above, then I re-scanned VsRealms and find this! She's leaving UDE (or, rather, UDE is leaving her). :(
But on her way out the door, she spilled two more sweet tidbits of info:
1. T-shirts are coming back! Not in every kit, but in some. See - you spoke, they listened.
2. "Beatdown" is a type of event (like "Beatdown: Random Punks"). Two other Beatdown events she mentioned = "Beatdown: Insanity" and "Beatdown: Build a Legend". Can't wait to see what the rules are for those.
Well, best of luck to you Miranda, where ever you end up. Thanks for making the realms a better place for Vs. Players everywhere. You will be missed.

Oh - and for those of you who wondered what the hell I was doing yesterday instead of posting, I was saving a bus load of children from terrorists, rebuilding my car's engine from the bottom up, and impressing supermodels with my toned physique while kick-boxing.
OK, well, that's not EXACTLY the truth. It wasn't quite that manly as all that. I was...well...I HAD TO FINISH READING HARRY POTTER BEFORE ANYONE SPOILED IT FOR ME. There! I said it! Are you happy?
