Originally, today's post was going to be about the new Judge Dredd trailer:
It looks better than the Stallone version already, but I'll wait to pass "Judge"ment until I see more.
Anywho - that was the hot topic of the day until Dennis sent me this link - Director Barry Sonnenfeld to helm DC comics' The Metal Men.
Director Barry Sonnenfeld has been stringing us along with the tease that he'd be directing a DC comics property for a while now. Today, Sonnenfeld revealed that he'll be directing THE METAL MEN, based on the comic created by writer Robert Kanigher and penciller Ross Andru.
MIND = BLOWN!!
If Barry can work his Men In Black magic on my favorite old-school, obscure DC team, then I am ALL IN.
Now I know about 50% of you are going, "Metal Men? Who the heck are they?" Wikipedia has the full answer, but in a nutshell, the metal men are all creations of a scientist who is looking to better the world. Each metal man is made out of a different type of metal and therefore, has different properties/abilities...and each, of course, has it's own unique personality.
I really hope they keep the 1960s vibe of the original comics, but I'm honestly just psyched I'll get to see these childhood favorites of mine hit the big screen!
