I was getting worried. I though Sin City 2 might never make it to the
big screen. It's been a while, and director Robert Rodriguez has, like,
30 Machette films in some stage of production. So although there was
always SOME buzz about a sequel to Sin City, I wasn't super confident.
But my fears have seemingly been put to rest by the uber bootylicious
Rosario Dawson. According to ICv2.com, Dawson let it slip that filming
begins in November.
Rosario Dawson, who will reprise her role as Gail, confirmed that filming would get underway this fall, telling MTV, "I’m not sure that I’m supposed to say, but I’m going to say November, I’m going to be honest and put it out there. It’s very soon. I’m excited."
Hopefully that puts it on track for a summer or holiday 2013 release (
because as we all know, "big" movies that get released outside of summer
or holidays are films the movie companies do not have faith in).
Looking forward to seeing it, regardless of the release date. In the
mean time, it's been too long since I've seen the original. I'll have to
watch again this weekend.
Thank god, I really loved the first one and wondered if the talk of a sequel was just BS or true. Thanks for sharing.
